We love welcoming families into our hallways, it’s the best way to experience the energy of BFS.

Tours of our school occur from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. During this time, prospective parents visit the classrooms and shared learning areas, then participate in an inquiry session in which we give an overview of our curriculum and our parent-aided cooperative model, ending with a Q&A.

Brooklyn Free Space offers a Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based curriculum that fosters creativity, exploration, and independent learning. Educators guide discovery and collaboration, respecting each child’s unique perspective to cultivate confident, curious lifelong learners. BFS is an independent cooperative preschool that serves children approximately 2.5 to 5 years old in a learning environment that emphasizes play and hands-on exploration. BFS offers financial aid and also participates in the Pre-K For All program.
