Admissions for 2010-2011The admissions process for 2010-2011 is currently underway. For more details on the process, please see the admissions page or contact newmembers@brooklynfreespace.org with questions. Please see our Admissions page for details. Alumni families who wish to enroll a sibling should submit application and deposit by 2/12, and to email newmembers@brooklynfreespace.org for the statement of agreement.Admissions for 2009-2010:Brooklyn Free Space Preschool currently has no vacancies available for the 2009-2010 school year. If you are interested in finding out more about any possible spots at our school, please call the school at (718) 965-3135 or contact our New Members Committee. You can download an application for the 2010-2011 school year from our Admissions page. All BFS students attend five days a week. Part of our children-first philosophy is that a daily routine fosters a comforting sense of belonging and order for young children. We also offer Early Bird (8-9 am) and After School care (3-6 pm), which does not have to be daily. These are great options for working parents.

Brooklyn Free Space is a parent cooperative nondenominational preschool located in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We strive to reflect the diversity in our community. Our director and teaching staff are dedicated professionals who have worked at our school for many years. Brooklyn Free Space operates from September through June, observing the same holiday and vacation periods as the New York City public school system. We also offer a summer program. Four spacious classrooms accommodate a total of 62 children. A large indoor play space and a nearby playground provide ample space and equipment for large motor activities. Free Space is at Mission for Today, 298 6th Avenue (between 2nd and 3rd Streets) in Park Slope. Brooklyn Free Space is a nonprofit, educational corporation, founded in 1978 and permanently chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Brooklyn Free Space is licensed by the New York City Dept. of Health and complies with all Health Dept., Fire Dept., and Dept. of Social Services requirements.
